Tutorial How to make Video Signature/s Take your time and follow the
directions carefully.
Programs Needed:
~Google
is your Friend
~- Adobe Photoshop CS2/CS3/CS4,CS5
- Adobe Imageready
- Any Video editing Program ( Vegas Pro 8.0/9.0 - Recomended)
- Quick Time Movie Player
- Any video converter that supports convertion of any video file to .MOV
format (Total Video Converter- Recomended)
Let's Begin:
1. Open Photoshop and edit your signature ( Adding effects. Contrast,
Text , etc.) then "save as" .jpeg
(the highest quality image)
2. Just get the scenes that you want to be in your sig. I recommend you
to use Vegas Pro 8.0/9.0 for cutting scenes.
Other Video Editing Program doesnt support some video formats.
These are the formats that I used (wmv, mpeg1/mpeg2, avi)
NOTE:
You need to get a .mov file (only a quicktime .mov file will do), of
anything you want to put into your sig.. If you choose a video with a
different format other than .mov extension then you have to convert it
to .mov before you can use it in your sig.
3. Open Imageready
4.Once you are in ImageReady go to File > open, open your .mov
(quicktime movie) file, you should have a screen like this:
[You must be registered and logged in to see this link.]Click "From beginning to end" (1-25 seconds is recommended, higher thatn
25 seconds may hang your PC. Then click "OK".
OR
If you want to fast forward your selected video, Just Click
"Selected Range Only" and "Limit to Every" and then select 2nd, 3rd or
4th" frame. Higher number the more faster the video will play.
NOTE: The length of your movie will vary tremendously. There are times
when I start my movie file in the middle of the trailor and hardly move
the slider at all. It all depends on the length of the original movie
trailor. Some movies are 12mb, some are just 2mb, again it all depends
on how large of file you want your .mov to be. DONT FORGET IF YOU USE A
LARGE .MOV FILE EDIT YOUR FRAMES.
5. That wasn't so hard was it? O.K. now the next step is to change the
delay in the frames. That is done in the animation window. Ok, you have
the movie in imageready in frames, you can see there is a delay we have
to change that by following the directions below:
[You must be registered and logged in to see this link.]6. Yes, I have 118 frames . Now you have to resize your image. We do
this by going to image > image size.
7. Once you resize your image (.mov) you now have to go to photoshop. We
do this by going to file>jump to>adobe photoshop
[You must be registered and logged in to see this link.]8. Now that you're in Photoshop go to image > canvas size and I used
these settings but you can use any size you what your sig to be (This
may take a while depending on what kind of PC you have) I have no
problem
[You must be registered and logged in to see this link.]This is what I have so far in Photoshop:
[You must be registered and logged in to see this link.]9. This part is very important, make sure that you lock all the layers
together on the layer palette. YOU HAVE TO LOCK THE LAYERS TOGETHER like
this:
[You must be registered and logged in to see this link.]10. Now that ALL the LAYERS are LOCKED TOGETHER, you can move the movie
around anywhere you like, make a new layer (make sure the new layer is
under all the other layers) and start making your sig, like this:
[You must be registered and logged in to see this link.]Yes, you can create the layer then drag and drop it to the beginning of
the Layers Palette
11. After you finish making your sig make sure that all of the new
layers that you created to make your sig have an eye next to them.
[You must be registered and logged in to see this link.]Also (very important) make sure that you lock all of the movie layers
before you move on to the next step.
Now we are ready to move it all back to ImageReady (shift+ctrl+m )
12. Once everything is in ImageReady go to File > Save Optimized as
(ctrl+shift+alt+s )
13. Done
Here's the Sample:
